The next major step during this interim period is to form a pastor search committee (Pastor
Nominating Committee (PNC)). The members of this committee are nominated by the
congregation and consist of Session members and members of the congregation (5 to 7
people total).  They will be charged with performing the church mission study, preparing the
Church Information Form (CIF), and seeking candidates for permanent pastor.

Throughout the process Session will be informally and formally seeking input from the
congregation.  We will also be providing updates to the congregation via town hall meetings,
through the newsletter, through this webpage, and in the weekly bulletins.  As we move
forward we ask for your prayers, as this process will take possibly two years to complete.  If
you have questions or any information you’d like to add or if you are interested in serving on
the PNC, please contact a member of the
Session or Pastor Starr.

Our Pastor Search Begins…
The pastor search process is a “standard” procedure
prescribed by the Presbytery [see
Manual on Calling a
Pastor].  We are presently in the  “interim” period between
now and when we call the permanent pastor.  We have hired
the Reverend Mr. Floyd Starr as our Interim Pastor.  Floyd will
fulfill the pastoral duties and assist us with our self-study to
identify our congregation's needs and vision for the future.
This church self-study or “mission study” will guide us to
seek a permanent pastor who best meets our needs.
